never new so many adult people play tanki

Depends upon what you mean by 'adult' The government recognizes me as an adult (19), but I wouldn't consider myself one... at any rate, the demographics for anything on the internet are usually a microcosm of real life (minus the over-50 crowd more or less) so yes, there are plenty of adults who play tanki.

Now, for all the tanki world to see, let's have a thoughtful discussion about what maturity IS. First off, I would like to know what you people consider being "mature". In my opinion, some people in this game who act super mature can kind of emanate an irritating aura around them. Let's face it, we're not THAT mature if we like to play this game. C'mon, have you ever heard of adults playing computer games? Let me see your input.

I would say being mature is:

Not flooding
Not spamming
Being respectful
Not posting pointless CAPS in your post
MAYBE using punctuation
MAYBE using proper words often, not always TLAs

So maturity isn't directly dependent upon age? Another thing is, what is the difference between being "mature" and being "snobbish"? Is there a difference?

Yes there is. Maturity is not screaming, thinking things through before you say them, being polite, wise, and overall sensible.

Snobbishness is being almost "proud that your mature" and look down harshly on and diss off immature people.

So how would you recommend keeping a balance by being "mature", but making sure that you aren't being snobbish?

Hmm... maturity. Most people who claim to be mature just aren't. So I won't be a judge of my own maturity. And maturity certainly isn't dependant on age (Hotwheel for example).... I don't know what to say. So I'll just press the submit button.

Do you think that a person can cuss occasionally and yet still be considered mature? I know some players who I've always held in high regards, until I went into a game with them...

^Yep, of course. The most mature often cuss the most.... but not violent cussing.

Wow. So you're bringing up another issue. What's the difference between "cussing" and "violent cussing"?

"Damn" in reply to something went wrong is normal ordinary cussing, and the like. When you start going "F*** you" and swearing AT PEOPLE, then that is violent cussing and only for immature people.

I was taught that any kind of swearing is bad. Even the "D" word is not allowed to be said. So I think that this means that how "bad" some cussing is is a relative term based on a person's background. Though I do agree that swearing AT someone is worse. Maybe maturity shouldn't be measured on swearing? How about the general way of doing things?

Hmm... that's a hard one. In the area where I live (west london), anything short of the "F" word is considered as not swearing. So H***, D***, C***, S*** are all words that I do not consider as swearing. Other people do. But how to measure maturity? I wonder... any ideas?

Well, is there any such thing as maturity? I think that definitely maturity can be measured in someone in real life, but is it possible to see on the internet?

Yes, but there is no one factor that decides it. It could be a range of factors, and is gradual to find out how mature someone is. I find a good guide how many typos they make... the less typos the more mature. And you can never measure someone's maturity in an instant: it takes time, probably a month of "Stalking?" their behavior.
