Hi, tankmen!

Its been long since I wrote, but I want to return to this practice on a regular basis.

So let's summarize this indication experiment.

To begin with let us recall the history of the issue.
A long time ago in Tanki, there were no indications (even on one's own tank) and had a lot of so-called "druggers".
Players suggested that they had to indicate enabled supplies to improve the quality of in-game communication, so that everything was open and fair.
We agreed that the idea might be useful and that is why we implemented the current indication. However, as we now know, the situation has not become better, and perhaps even worse.

We understand that, being absorbed in the development of 2.0, we have lost sight of today's players needs.
And we have agreed to continue the active development of TO1 as equal to 2.0, we have built up a team for effective troubleshooting.
For example, yesterday we moved the database to a super-powerful server, as the old one had difficulties coping with the load.

However, about the "trouble". We receive many complaints about the mess in the chat, the culture of communication is seriously affected.
Unfortunately, the moderators at all desire can not solve this problem completely.
There are several measures that can help deal with the problem, some are easy to implement, like - a very serious development (People's moderation, the reputation system).
We felt that it was least labor-intensive to start with simpler solutions, including indication of consumables -
the questions was "Is it correct, was it not an emotional decision under pressure from the players?".

So there was this experiment.
Unfortunately, we could not hold it locally or on a test server, because results would be completely biased.

Results
- As for the fights in the chat the situation remained about the same level, the views of the moderators were divided.
- We received the most negative from the community (there were some positive reviews, but in the minority).
- It has become harder to detect cheaters (by the way, we're almost done with serious troubleshooting throughout the combat system, which will be significantly more resistant to fraud, we are completing tests).
- The burden on the moderators increased, because each tankmen with enabled supplies were suspected of cheating, respectively there was an increase in cheaters' complaints.
- Battles without supplies deteriorated, as there was no indication on bonus drops, which affected tactics (clans, we apologize for any problems with the League of clans because of this).

In general, no pros just cons.

Conclusions
- We return the indication of supplies.
- Consider the option of varying supplies and bonus boxes with distinctive indications (I will not give any promises, let's test it first and even then we will decide).
- Application of supplies taken separately by a player virtually has nothing to do with the opinion of others.
- We will no longer carry out mass experiments with such potential negative, but do them on separate servers (there are problems with measuring the performance isolation on those servers, but they can be solved).

Thank you for reading till the end!
Happy New Year!

Thank you for all your consideration and care, tanki developer team. I appreciate everything you've done in creating this great game. Perhaps some changes or experiments are strongly disliked by the user community, but we can all be rest assured that our feedback won't go unnoticed.
